Frequently asked questions

What is an end-of-life companion?

A trained presence who offers emotional, spiritual, and practical support before, during, and after dying. They do not perform medical tasks or give medical advice.

Is this the same as hospice?

No. Hospice is a medical service provided by licensed clinicians. Companions complement hospice by offering additional non-medical support for patients and families.

What are the boundaries?

Companions offer non-medical, non-legal, and non-financial support. They do not provide clinical care, medical advice, legal counsel, or financial guidance.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can connect directly with companions and choose who feels like the right fit.

How are companions verified?

At signup we collect ID and references, note certifications (e.g., INELDA, NEDA), and offer optional background checks where permitted.

What about privacy?

You control what you share. Messaging is private, and bookings include clear boundaries and consent first.
